Code of Conduct for SNCF Affiliates
This Code of Conduct establishes the standards of behaviour expected from all Affiliates of the Federation. The aim is to promote a culture of integrity and mutual respect within the Federation and the Singapore Co-operative Movement. Breaches of this Code may result in measures being taken by the Federation.
SNCF Affiliates are expected to:
- Co-operative Values and Principles
Uphold and promote the values of self-help, mutual help, democracy, equality, equity, respect and solidarity, and operate in accordance with internationally recognised co-operative principles.
- Support for Federation’s Objectives
Support the Federation’s objectives and strategic goals through collective efforts.
- Governance, Leadership, and Integrity
Demonstrate strong governance, responsible leadership, and ethical integrity, ensuring transparency and acting in the best interests of their members. This includes complying with the Federation’s By-laws, Co-operative Societies Act and all other relevant rules, codes, orders, directions and regulations.
- Transparency and Accountability
Assess whether material information ought to be disclosed to the Federation, taking into account the interests of the Federation and Movement, and co-operative with the Federation’s reviews and requests. In the event of any regulatory breach, affiliates are expected to make every effort to address and resolve such matters promptly.
- Movement Solidarity and Reputation
Safeguard the Federation’s and Movement’s interest, reputation and represent the Movement with professionalism.
- Inclusivity and Respect
Promote a culture of inclusivity and treat members, staff, and the community with respect and dignity.
- Sustainability
Commit in practices that promote the long-term well-being of their members, the community, and the environment.
